Who we are

Family Post is run by Envol Ltd, company 17505466, registered in England and Wales, at 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. We decide how your information is used. Contact us at support@velberget.com.

What we use

The photos or PDFs you add, the language you choose, and the access code. Letters can include names, addresses, reference numbers, money and health details, and details about other people.

Why, and our legal basis

We use your letter only to give you the explanation you asked for. Our legal basis is your consent, and your explicit consent for any health details. You give it by ticking the box before you read a letter.

What we keep

We don’t save your letters or the answers. We have no accounts, no adverts and no tracking. Your phone remembers the language you chose, and that stays on your phone.

Who else handles it

Anthropic, in the US, reads your letter with its AI. It says it deletes this data within 30 days, keeps content flagged by its safety systems for up to 2 years, and doesn’t use it to train its AI without permission. Read Anthropic’s retention policy.

Cloudflare hosts this site and passes your letter on. It may keep basic technical records, such as your IP address, to run and protect the service.

We don’t sell your information. Sending it to the US is an international transfer. We only use suppliers whose terms protect your data at least as well as this policy does.

Your rights

You can stop using Family Post at any time, which withdraws your consent for the future. You can ask us what we hold, and ask us to correct or delete it, though we don’t save your letters. If you’re unhappy, tell us first. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Health data in the US

This section is our consumer health data policy, including for people in Washington State and Nevada. A letter may show health conditions, treatment, benefits or insurance details. We collect this from you, only to explain the letter, with your consent. We share it with Anthropic and Cloudflare to provide that service, and with no one else. We don’t sell it. You can ask to see or delete it, or withdraw consent, by emailing us. If we refuse a request, you can appeal by emailing us again.

Family Post is for people aged 18 or over.
